We all are guilty of making excuses for not taking action. Imagine if you took a new approach and committed to using a technique from Mel Robbins called the 5 Second Rule. In the same amount of time it takes you to come up with all of the reasons why you are NOT going to complete a task you can simply count backwards from 5-4-3-2-1 take a breath and DO IT. In a short time you will see how much more you get done using this method.
I share in this vlog how I wanted to make excuses for not taking my daily walk and the amazing unusual rainbow and dolphin sightings I was able to enjoy as a result of taking action. How many opportunities are you letting go by behind your chair because it is easier to make excuses rather than just doing the thing.
I promise you when you reach the beginning of the last quarter of this year and you track your income, you will be so happy you chose action over excuses. That two hour gap today looks like the perfect opportunity to hit Sephora and restock your makeup, but have you thought about the future effect of that choice? If you let that gap in your schedule stay open remember every 5-6 weeks later you will have that same gap because most of our clients are on a 5-6 week cycle for their hair appointments.
So remember 5-4-3-2-1 yourself into the life of your dreams one day at a time.
~ Stay Colorful,
Elaine
